California Career Planning Guide
The California Career Planning Guide 2003-2005 helps people of all ages plan their futures. It includes an introduction to what career planning is about, self-assessments, ways to investigate the world of work, how to identify and meet education and training needs and how to create a Career Action Plan. This product is intended for students, teachers, counselors, parents, and anyone wanting to develop their career/life skills.

California Community Colleges are two-year public institutions composed of 108 colleges statewide. The colleges are organized into 72 districts and serve more than 2.5 million students.
California CareerZone Guide: Helps guide new users through the CareerZone and outlines the main features of the web site.
The California CareerZone is a new web-based career information delivery system available to ALL Californians FREE of charge and provides the following:
- Self-Assessment tools for discovering one's interests and linking these interests to appropriate occupations.
- Descriptions and essential information (skills, training required) on 900 O*NET occupations.
- Current and accurate California Labor Market Information including wages, growth occupations, and available jobs.
- More than 300 occupational videos showing real life footage of people doing these jobs.
National Career Development Guidelines
The National Career Development Guidelines (NCDG) help educators, career development professionals and community leaders develop high-quality career development programs for youth and adults nationwide.
The Real Game Series™ offers six progressive, adaptable, and interactive career exploration programs designed to make learning about careers and work fun and exciting. Programs are available for youth in the 3rd grade through 12th grade and adulthood.

The State Center Consortium and its partners want to give students the strongest base upon which to build their college and career lives.
